UPDATE 7 A brief update in the few minutes I have before work… The team was planning to be up at 4:30 and hitting the trail as soon as tents were taken down and everything packed up. Which means they are hiking down as I type. It is a faster journey home, being nearly all downhill, […]
Day #6: Goat stew with intestines and brain for breakfast!
UPDATE 6 Tony texted this morning before the day really got going… He said there was another church service last night at 9pm with singing and dancing that went late. Sounds like it made for a late night for them so they were a bit tired this morning. Nothing new, huh? It also rained last […]

Day #3: Mountains conquered!
UPDATE 3 I know many of us were awaiting news that the team made that treacherous hike up the mountains to Kawo yesterday…. only to not hear anything last night! I’m sorry, friends! I also was in suspense, but went to bed without news. It didn’t come in till about 11:30pm, BUT it was GOOD news to […]
Day #2: A proverb: “Mountains beyond mountains…”
Tony texted this afternoon to say that the team arrived in Dessalines/Nan wo safe and sound with no hassle. Unfortunately, the consul was closed today so Dixie, Asher and Louinet were unable to attempt any more progress towards getting Louinet a visa. After arriving in Nan wo, the team visited the orphanage where Dixie and […]

Greetings from Haiti
August 1st – Port au Prince Greetings from Haiti! After spending a week in Nan Wo with Pastor Louinet and the camp kids, we are excited and worn out. Excited for what God is doing in the lives of the Haitian youth we worked with, and tired because of the amount of energy it took. […]
