UPDATE 7
A brief update in the few minutes I have before work…
The team was planning to be up at 4:30 and hitting the trail as soon as tents were taken down and everything packed up. Which means they are hiking down as I type. It is a faster journey home, being nearly all downhill, but still very, very difficult and particularly challenging if anyone has any knee trouble.
Tony said church was very encouraging yesterday. He actually was the one to teach and spoke on Christ and Peter being the rock.
He said 8 pregnant ladies showed up in the afternoon along with 1 midwife. They met with them and taught them how to use the birth kits.
They spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing, visiting, playing soccer, and doing some more weaving with a handful of the people. After a freeze-dried dinner, they retired early.
- Pray for the group as they are hiking right now. Pray for safety, strength, encouragement when it feels like the trail never ends!
- Praise the Lord for all He accomplished in Kawo! For projects completed, for the health the team had, for relationships strengthened, for Christ’s body that exists there.
Thank you for faithfully upholding our team in prayer,
Grace, on behalf of the Hope in Haiti team
It is marvelous in our eyes!”
-Ps. 118:23
