UPDATE 5
Tony sent a text early this morning before the day got hectic….
He said there was a church service last night with wonderful worship late into the evening.
They got good sleep and woke to a cool morning and a Haitian friend Lukman, worshiping on his guitar with a few English songs he knows.
After a breakfast of cornmeal and fish, children in school uniform were beginning to appear from the surrounding hills and the team was prepping to gather info and photos of the remaining classes.
It sounds like the clinic has been really neat and a great success. But Tony said there are many medical needs that they are unable to meet, and it’s difficult not to be brought to tears.
The team will either be hiking down from Kawo this afternoon (probably just about now) or first thing in the morning.
Continue to uphold these guys in your prayers!!
Pray the team is able to accomplish all they need to in Kawo before the long hike down the mountains.
Pray for refreshment and encouragement for them in spite of the difficulties they have faced and the hard things they have seen.
Praise the Lord for good rest and an encouraging time of worship with their Haitian brothers and sisters last night!
Pray for strength and safety as they hike ‘home’!
In Christ,
Grace, on behalf of the Hope in Haiti team
“This was the Lord’s doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes!”
