We are at the airport
We are at the airport in PAP Haiti. Just going through TSA. The trips to Haiti are becoming routine ie I know my way around. Please pray for safe travels. I need phone lessons. For some reason I get wfi at times, other times I don’t. We are on the plain, very shortly we leave […]
Coming Home
We are all packed up and waiting for our ride to PAP. It’s been a good trip overall! When we come back in January, I hope the school will be completely floated. Lhomme and Jean are running electric conduit in the school rooms for future electrical wires, lights, and plugs. Today as we were waiting […]
reflecting on our day
Sitting in semi dark around the table, we have been reflecting on our day. After church Issabelle and Savannah spent the afternoon working with about 15 girls teaching them to knit with small hoops. The girls loved it. Myrriah and Susie visited through out the neighborhood. Harley and I had business to take care of […]
blanc
All the bragging about Tmobile in the 3rd world went to not. We had NO service all afternoon. We white people are called blanc in Haiti. That simply means white… in my case it is very true head to foot. You all, we are very blessed here in Nan wo. This past July we added […]
basketball hoop
Thanks to Ron and Brad the kids are still enjoying the basketball hoop installed with bolts that go all the way through the block wall. This is the 1st hoop that has lasted longer then a month. Of course all others were tied to window bars with string. Good job guys!

The story behind the work on the school
The story behind the work on the school is really cool. Maybe I’ll share it some time… some of the worker’s are graduates from our school. Education is a big part of Hope in Haiti’s mission. To date there are 14 schools affiliated with HiH. The teachers are not trained like our teachers in the […]
great accomplishments
I made a list of great accomplishments here in Nan wo Haiti which will never get sent off to you all because there just isn’t enough time. This place is nothing like home, lest you look deep. I’m starting today with the grim fact of life here. If you’re alive, you’re going to die. As […]
Blessings sometimes come in small packages!
As many of you know we have no power in Nan wo Haiti. The solar panel we use is to small to keep up with our power needs for the computer which we use for student updates, and cell phone/camera batteries, etc. Brandon the tiny little generator you gave Dixie has made it to Haiti. […]
