Heads up, the Fantastic Four are departing!

We have a team of four leaving Monday that will be hiking into the the desolate mountains of the Kawo region. We will be taking pictures and updating information for about 300 kids.  Also, we are bringing up–can you believe it–a sewing machine that can be operated by a crank lever on the right side of the machine! What a tool this will be! Hopefully the donkey will carry the sewing machine safely and willingly up the steep rocky paths. We will be making quilts again with the women in the mountains. If we are able, we may also be helping with some basic medical needs.

This climb into the mountains is not easy…. especially for us who aren’t as young as we used to be; so we are asking that you pray us up the mountains and that we be the hands and feet of Christ. Please be in prayer for each of us (named below) as we make this journey!

“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:28-31

Blessings always,

-Dixie
