Dates: To Be Determined
People needed: 4-6 men and women. Family members welcome
Job summary: Our classrooms are soon to be completed, but they are still in the dark! We want to make sure that our new school building is safely and thoroughly wired for all its lighting and power needs. We need a team to install electric wiring to outlets and lights for seven classrooms, troubleshoot problems at the adjoining church building, and perform whatever safety upgrades are necessary on the existing wiring. Haiti uses 120v, 60hz electricity.
Tools needed: To find out what tools you can bring and / or donate for this work, write harley@hopeinhaiti.org, or see the general Tool List.
Trip costs (including airfare and in-country costs): approximately $1400 per person
Money needed to be raised: $16,225
That is the need. If this trip sounds like a good fit for you, by all means, let us know! We would like to gather enough people and do this sooner rather than later, so that wiring does not become an afterthought or get left neglected. As soon as we have enough interested people, we will schedule the trip.
If you cannot go but this is a need you feel called to help meet, you can also give toward the material costs. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Either way, Contact us by email at info@hopeinhaiti.org
