Thanks to the many folks who have poured in support, the new school buildings are rising up off the ground! Many workers have put in countless hours, laying brick upon brick to bring it to the point it’s at now, with three enclosed rooms built, a covered walkway, and several other rooms in process of being built. It’s hard to work in the hot Caribbean sun all day, but these children and their education are worth it. Here, a chain of men mix concrete and hand it up ladders to make the concrete roof.
Without access to anything like a Home Depot, the workers have to use what they have available to build a sturdy building.
This school is already an anchor for the local community, and will be even more so as it expands and is able to host more children.
