What a full day for our team!
Dixie said camp was good. Crazy, but good. With probably close to 200 kids attending, the culture and language differences, the heat and so much more, one can only imagine! 🙂
Even after camp was over for the day, the team played with the several children who stick around afterwards, begging for love and attention.
They also took a walk into town to tour the rustic, little Methodist hospital.
Tonight (likely as I write) the church in Nan wo where the team is staying is holding a huge outdoor service to celebrate their 11th anniversary. Hope in Haiti has been a part of this church and worked closely with Pastor Louinet for 5 of those years now and we rejoice alongside our brothers and sisters! It will have been a service filled with worship and dance, celebration and teaching… probably several hours long as is only normal and yet the people will stay late into the night to celebrate God’s goodness. And tomorrow they will be up again as early as the sun to resume another day’s work.
Pray that the team will get some decent sleep amidst the excitement and added noise tonight. 🙂 I’m sure they will join in on the festivities, but will probably call it a night long before things are over.
The team continues to do very well… thank you for your prayers that continue to sustain them as they serve!
Pray for all the beautiful people we work with, that in all things, we would point them to Jesus as our true Hope in Haiti.
For the whole team,
-Grace, on behalf of the Hope in Haiti board
