A plane takes off and, less than two short hours later lands in an entirely different world…
A Hope in Haiti team left out of Seattle last night at 11:30pm! After several layovers and plane changes, they will arrive in Port au Prince at about 3:40pm today Tuesday, March 26th.
Why is Dixie taking her third team of the year down already?? It’s VBS time!!! It has become a tradition for Hope in Haiti to put on a 3-day Vacation Bible School every spring for our Nan wo school. It is a unique time of strengthening relationships, investing eternally in the lives of a few hundred kids, and in it all, blessing the families and community of Nan wo and Dessaline. It is a crazy, often chaotic time as the kids are (extremely!) excited and have been looking forward to this week all year long! The theme this year is focused around Jesus being the light of the world. Your prayers for the team as they head out are so invaluable!
Once a day, Dixie will be texting me (yes, all the way from Nan wo, Haiti!) and I will be sending out an update for the day. Look for the daily updates all this week and let’s cover this team in prayer!
Pray that the members of this team will shine their “limyè“ (light) brightly in the country of Haiti as they teach the kids about Christ being the light of the world.
So that you can pray for the team members by name, the team is made up of:
Aaron Day
Cherie Buzzell
Kasey Morrelli
Danny Morrelli
Joyce Olsen
Myrriah Hayden
Issabelle Hayden
Maria Hawkins
Maddie Mullen
Dixie Montgomery
Joshua McClintock
Grace, on behalf of the Hope in Haiti Board
