Hurricane Tomas passed by Haiti bringing rains and flooding. Dixie and our team in Haiti haven been unable to hike to the mountains and visit our Kawo school and church because the flooding is too severe. No Haitian deaths have been reported but the flooding complicates matters for the country trying to rebuild from the earthquake and react to the current cholera outbreak. Mudslides and waterborne illnesses are of current concern as well as the saferty and well being of our Hope in Haiti staff, families and childrend as well as the US team visiting Haiti right now. Please pray for stabilization of hillsides, effective treatment and containment of the cholera outbreak and safety for those living in and visiting Haiti.
